Just Wait Until You Hear These Tsa Horror Stories

By Sharon Perry

Those who like to travel often find it unavoidable to have to fly at some point. This means dealing with the Transportation Security Administration, something that might make a lot of people nervous due to the abundance of stories people have shared about their own bad experiences dealing with them. TSA horror stories don't always have to happen every time you go to the airport, and there are some ways that you can avoid this happening to you.

It is a tragic thing that the people who get targeted the most by agents who really don't have people's best interests in mind are those who are the most vulnerable. This includes not only the elderly and the disabled, but also women and children as well. So many sickening things have happened to people in vulnerable situations for the sole reason that the agents find it more likely that they will be able to get away with their actions.

Sometimes the hardest time to go through airport security is during your first time flying. This will be a totally new experience to you, so it is a very good idea to make sure you have thoroughly read and understood the rules and regulation. Taking the time to check your pockets one more time and make sure that you have everything you need, and that all garbage or unnecessary items are thrown away or stowed baggage can also save you a lot of trouble as well.

There are so many things about traveling by plane that make it a likely situation for people to be tired and stressed out in. This is especially true for those who travel with children because not only do they have to keep themselves happy but they have to keep their children entertained as well. This makes it so when you finally go through security, you might have a low threshold for patience in dealing with the agents.

Traveling to a different country comes with many challenges. One of the biggest ones is the language barriers that occur when you're trying to go through checkpoints. If you don't have any idea what the officer is asking you to do, the situation might become very serious very quickly.

Pat downs are a key time when inappropriate behavior might occur. This is because it is hard to tell what is inappropriate and what is not. The power status of the agent also makes it difficult to protest their actions.

Because of social networking and review sites, it is easy to find out which airports are known for having friendlier agents and which ones have the less friendly ones. Being equipped with this information can help you choose the right airport. In other cases, it can just help you prepare for what you are about to deal with when you go through security.

No one likes to be yelled at. Remember the security agents are there for an important job. However, it is usually unnecessary to yell at an innocent person just trying to travel home.
