Top Tips To Take Your Article Marketing To The Next Level

By Jorge Luis Borges

Do not write a blog post and then walk away. Sometimes the conversations that can happen in the comments of a post can earn you more money than your main content. Readers are much more likely to return to a site where they can converse with the content provider. You will build trust and return visitors.

If you want to raise your chances of your article being found by searches, don't make the mistake of publishing it in more than one place. Far better to publish it once, under a single URL, and linking to it with tags from other locations. This is because Google's way of ranking pages in searches is based on the number and quality of links to a single page. The more times your page appears, the more places those links will accumulate, and the weaker your search results will be.

If you are just starting out, choose only one article directory to work with. Look through each of the article directory databases to find out which one would suit you best, and work towards familiarizing yourself. Only using one directory will help you learn the ropes before you dive headfirst into the field.

As a reward for newsletter sign-ups, offer a short report at no charge. The report can be written by you or a hired writer, but it will entice possible customers to sign up to get e-mails from you. Keep the report topic relevant to the industry you are in.

Do your keyword research. If you have already written an article, but aren't sure what to title it, look for commonly searched keywords that will fit the article. Do not use keywords that don't match up. No one likes to be looking for fishing gear and click on an article about the most recent music videos.

Try to include real-life examples in your article. The reader will be able to identify with your post, making them more interested in the subject that you are writing about. It is also important to use descriptive language so that the reader can visualize the situation that you are discussing.

Overuse of keywords is not a good idea. Using a particular keyword too often (five or more times per article) can cause both search engines and visitors to avoid your site. Stay with less than five times to make sure that you do not overdo it, and your readers will be much more happy.

Promoting your articles is something that must not be forgotten after you spent all that time and energy writing them! Market them in a newsletter to your customers and take advantage of tweeting about the articles too (do not forget the link to the article!) You may want to link your article to your blogging website from time to time.

Time is money, it is worth spending a little bit of time each day campaigning yourself across the internet. Backlinking is one of the most lucrative ways to promote yourself and it is entirely free if you do the work yourself. Get started today and do regular maintenance on all of your content and you will be bound for success. Good luck!
